Accessibility Statement

As someone who works on inclusion, I want this site to be usable by everyone: including people who use screen readers, navigate only with a keyboard, have low vision or differences in colour perception, are sensitive to motion, or experience reading in different ways.

Our goal

I aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site is currently partially conformantwith these guidelines; below I share openly what I have done and the areas I am still working on.

What the site offers

  • Skip to content link: When navigating with a keyboard, the first Tab press lets you skip the menu and go straight to the content.
  • Visible focus: Links and buttons selected with the keyboard are shown with a clear orange outline.
  • Accessibility menu: From the round purple button at the bottom left you can enlarge the text, increase contrast, underline links, switch to a more readable font and wider line spacing, and stop animations. Your preferences are stored only in your own browser.
  • Motion preference: If "reduce motion" is turned on in your device settings, scroll animations, counters and moving backgrounds are switched off automatically.
  • Text alternatives: I use descriptive alternative text for model diagrams and content images; the meaning of each diagram is also explained in text and tables.
  • Tools that do not collect data: Interactive tools such as the Inclusion Pulse can be used with a keyboard and do not store your answers.

Known limitations

  • The accessibility of third-party services such as meeting scheduling (Calendly), video and maps is the responsibility of those services.
  • Some downloadable PDF documents are not yet fully accessible (tagged) PDFs. If you need it, I can send you the content in an accessible format.
  • Some images in older blog posts may be missing alternative text; I am completing these step by step.
  • English pages are provided through a translation plugin; translations of some new sections may be delayed.

Feedback

If there is any content or feature on the site you find hard to access, please write to me. Telling me what the problem is, which page it is on and, if possible, the device or assistive technology you use helps me fix it faster.
